The mission of Galvan Foundation is to improve the quality of life
of the people and communities of Hudson.


Our History

Galvan Foundation is a private grant making and operating foundation that began operations in January 2012.  Galvan Foundation has achieved widespread impact in Hudson, including:

  • Completing Galvan Armory, a unique community center in an historic armory hosting a library, senior center, and an after school program.

  • Providing start up funding and developing 16,500 sq. ft. of space for Warren Street Academy, an alternative education program, and Bard Early College - Hudson,  which in combination are providing over 80 students with specialized education opportunities.

  • Developing, preserving, and managing 180 units of affordable housing in Columbia County.

  • Providing $3,000,000 grants and spaces for Hudson Area Library, Hudson City School District, Hudson Senior Center, Bard Early College - Hudson, Warren Street Academy, Perfect Ten After School Program, Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood, Salvation Army, Hudson Little League and many more organizations improving the quality of life in Columbia County. 
  • Supporting job creation and small business growth by renovating buildings throughout Hudson into commercial spaces for 10 small businesses.
